Ingredients

3-4 Italian sausages (mild or hot based on preference)
2-3 Bell peppers, chopped (any colour based on your preference)
6 cups broth (chicken, beef or vegetable)
1 ½ cups arborio rice
Olive oil
Chopped onion
Minced garlic
Parsley, minced 
Parmesan cheese
Salt
Pepper

Missing the carnival’s traditional pancake breakfast? The next best thing is to join home cook Alicia Webber for a family friendly cooking class! Learn how to make pancakes, sausage and fruit salad. Get the whole family involved and have fun decorating your pancakes.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes 

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar 
1 1/4 cups milk 
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted 
cooking spray
toppings for decorating/serving such as maple syrup, whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate chips, string licorice, etc.

Fruit Salad

Cut various fruits of your choice into bite side pieces. Add to a large bowl and stir to combine. 
Sausages
Use your favourite sausages and cook according to the package directions. 

Carnival Paint Night – Sold out!

Join Raeannen McAdam for a fun and creative evening with a virtual paint night! Raeannen grew up in Northern Ontario and is a passionate creative artist who has always enjoyed arts and crafts. She recently opened her own business called McBear Creations, designing and painting commissioned works of art for clients. Raeannen also loves spending time with family, especially outdoors in nature. At this virtual paint night, (ZOOM) Raeannen will guide you in the creation of your very own work of art; Chickadee in the Tree. No previous painting experience necessary!
Cost is $30 and includes all the supplies you need for your art project. 
Supply kits may be picked up at Joyful Home in Lively between February 9th & 11th.

Puzzled Escape Rooms is working hard to bring the excitement and mystery of an escape room to the comfort and safety of your home. The at-home escape room will contain Family oriented puzzles and games found online. It will be your Family’s mission to solve the puzzles and complete the game by using the contents of the information found online.

Lorelle is known for her humour, energy and compassion.  She completed her 200 hour Ashtanga training in 2015 at Free Bird Yoga school in Chelmsford, and has been further developing her yoga practice and teaching through studies in restorative yoga, exploring the connections between the physical and emotional, and refining teaching techniques in adjustments and cueing.  Born and raised in Lively, Lorelle moved back in 2007 after living in Windsor, Scotland and Toronto.

This explosive science show will highlights some of the best gas and fire experiments, while also tackling vortex rings and sound waves. This show is sure to ignite a sense of excitement in any audience!

Science North “Winter Wonderland”

As habitants of Northern Ontario, we’ve become accustom to some wild winters! In this science show our brave bluecoats will take our explorations outdoors, as they make exploding volcanoes. They will navigate some icy experiments, as they teach us about how polar bears protect themselves during those artic evenings. Make sure to have something warm to drink when watching this show, as things could get a little chilly!

Walden Ringette Association

Walden Ringette Association is a volunteer organization dedicated to the promotion of the sport of Ringette in the Walden area.  Ringette is a fast–paced game played by young and older alike.  We work in the community to promote the sport and watch our children grow up to love being active, and healthy.  Our members are committed to promoting a sport which prides itself on good sportsmanship and fair play, and we have a lot of fun too!

Astronomy with Linda

Saturday February 12th, 2022 – 3:00pm – 4:00pm
In this session you’ll have a brief introduction to sky gazing. There are tools for you and your family to look up and enjoy the night sky. Learn about sky maps, and what is able to be seen with binoculars and
the unaided eye, no telescope required.  Enjoy the quizzes! Linda Pulliah has been involved with the Sudbury and North Bay astronomy clubs for 20 years.  As a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of
Canada’s national educational and public outreach committee she is currently developing a program for novice sky gazers.
